Episode #13, the episode that almost wasn't... Sorry about the late show release this week.

Starting on this weeks - late - episode of "The Mac Attack" I'm going to dive into the switcher stories that I have received and discuss some basic and advanced switcher tips, tricks, & hints.

Now you die-hard Mac users don't go anywhere, even if you have been using a Mac since 1984 there's a lot of information on this show you can use too.

Oops, I forgot to mention that the November issue of macCompanion is out. You can read the web based version now. The downloadable PDF version of the ezine will be out in a few days. I have a tech article and two book reviews in the November issue (more shameless self-promotion).

Visit themacattack.us for this weeks links:

Welcome to "The Mac Attack" (no it has nothing to do with fast food cravings). This first episode focuses on backing up your data. You wouldn't believe how many people don't. You back up, don't you???

Full system backup software:
Carbon Copy Cloner - http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html

Next week we will delve into the world of shareware, freeware, and must have software.

As always any questions or comments can be emailed to steve@stevecom.com

Talk to you soon,
-Steve

(Note: Please don't judge the show by the audio quality of this first episode. I didn't realize that the audio is not up to par when listened to on quality speakers. I think the subject matter is important if you can get past the audio on this first episode. The audio on the second episode is much, much better. UPDATE 8/20/05- I went back to the original multi-track recording and tried to EQ out some of the noise and popping. It is a little better than the original release )
